Second Thoughts

about my first book. It was a remarkable experience and I hope I learned some things. We’ll see, ’cause it’s not going to be my last. The file on the sequel to The Obeahman’s Dagger is open as I write this; my working title is The Brooklyn Museum Exhibit and it follows the evil Dagger as Belle takes it home to New York with her. David also travels to NYC to attend Journalism school at Columbia University so … yeah, the Obeahman is back.

The thing is that my imagination is really running now and I have several books all rushing the gate to be let out. Which is a huge problem as it leaves me working on right now (there are several more in outline and draft in the cloud) three stories at once. Maybe that’s a good thing. I have no experience on which to base an opinion so I’m going with the flow here.

I like to think of myself as a sci-fi writer so the fantasy stuff is a bit of a departure from my comfort zone but the next two stories are placed well inside the genre. One is an AI story and the other a Time Travel piece.

Over the next few weeks, at least until I’m finished writing one of these three, I’ll be casting about for an agent or a publisher. Self-publishing is great, but I really need help with marketing. I’d rather be writing.

So if you are an agent, or a publisher, and if you read this and would like to know more about my work, please contact me immediately. I have two pieces up on Amazon – the aforementioned Obeahman’s Dagger, and a sci-fi short story, Reconciliation. Together they should give you some idea of my writing.

And if you’re like me, a writer, please feel free to offer your advice, your suggestions, or to share your experiences with me.

This is such a lonely business.

PS: I need honest reviewers. Free copies available on request.
